**Short answer:** Robins AFB, Georgia held 10 courts-martial from 2021 to 2023, and 8 of them were general courts-martial (80%, compared with 56% across the Air Force). The median confinement was 4 months, down from 1.8 years in 2016–2018\. 50% of cases were contested, the same as the Air Force rate.

Based on 10 cases · 2021–2023 · Air Force records · data updated October 24, 2026

## Most Cases Were Tried at the Highest Court Level

8 of the 10 cases were general courts-martial. That is 80%, compared with 56% in the Air Force as a whole. A general court-martial can impose any lawful sentence, including long confinement and a dishonorable discharge. A special court-martial caps confinement at one year and cannot impose a dishonorable discharge.

The accused were also more senior than in the rest of the Air Force: 3 junior enlisted members, 5 NCOs, and 2 officers.

## Shorter Confinement Than in 2016–2018

9 of the 10 convictions included confinement. The median term was 4 months, close to the Air Force median of 5 months. A quarter of the terms were 9 months or longer.

In 2016–2018, the median confinement at Robins AFB was 1.8 years. A punitive discharge followed 8 of 9 enlisted convictions then, and 5 of 8 in 2021–2023\. With so few cases, a handful of trials can move these figures, so they show direction only. All sentences here are adjudged sentences, before any plea-agreement cap, clemency, or appeal.

## Pleas and Verdicts

5 accused pleaded guilty and 5 contested at least one charge. A contested case is one with a not-guilty or mixed plea. The contested share, 50%, was the same as in the rest of the Air Force.

None of the 5 contested cases ended in a full acquittal (0 of 5).

## Assault and Disobedience Charges

Article 128 (assault) appeared in 4 cases, or 40%, compared with 22% in the rest of the Air Force. Article 90 (willfully disobeying a superior officer) appeared in 2 cases, or 20%, compared with 2%.

Article 112a (drug offenses) appeared in 1 case here (10%). In the rest of the Air Force it appeared in 32% of cases.
