## Sentences Longer Than the Air Force Median

Confinement was part of 93% of the 14 convictions. The median confinement was 9 months. In the rest of the Air Force the median was 4 months. A quarter of the sentences with confinement were 6 years or longer.

These are adjudged sentences, set at trial before any plea-agreement cap, clemency, or appeal. Each one covers every charge in its case.

## Dishonorable Discharges Outnumbered Bad-Conduct Discharges

A punitive discharge followed 64% of enlisted convictions, compared with 56% in the whole Air Force. Of those discharges, 6 were dishonorable and 3 were bad-conduct discharges.

A dishonorable discharge requires a general court-martial. General courts-martial made up 11 of the 16 cases here, a share of 69%, compared with 53% in all Air Force cases in those years.

## Child Sexual Offenses and Assault

The charge lists cover 14 of the 16 cases, and a case with 3 articles appears in 3 rows. Article 112a (drug use or possession) was the most common charge, in 5 cases (36%), though less common than the 41% Air Force-wide.

Article 128 (assault) and Article 120b (rape and sexual assault of a child) were each charged in 4 cases (29%). Those shares compare with 19% and 7% across the Air Force. Article 134 was charged in 3 cases (21%). Article 115 (malingering before 2019, communicating threats since), Article 120, and Article 92 were each charged in 2.
