United States v. Galvin, No. 26-0300/AF — the Kruse follow-on

C.A.A.F. — certificate for review filed 21 September 2026

On 19 October 2026, the Court of Appeals for the Armed Forces issued a summary disposition in United States v. Galvin, No. 26-0300/AF, without a full opinion. Citing United States v. Kruse, the Court wrote, "We conclude that the Court of Criminal Appeals erred in its decision," answered the certified question in the affirmative and set aside the Air Force Court of Criminal Appeals' decision. The case returns to The Judge Advocate General of the Air Force for remand to that court for further review under Article 62.
